COVID-19 UPDATES

The following waivers are in place as of April 1st 2020 and apply to DOMESTIC travel with the 50 states only. Other restrictions/waivers apply for international travel, and all of the terms are subject to change.  

 

Alaska Airlines updated April 1st, 2020 9:57am

For tickets purchased on or before February 26th, 2020  for travel up until May 31st, 2020,  change fees are waived

o Travel must be complete by February 28th, 2021 or one year from the original ticket issue date, whichever comes first

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

For tickets purchased between February 27th, 2020 and April 30th, 2020,  change fees are waived

o Travel must be complete by February 28th, 2021 or one year from the original ticket issue date, whichever comes first

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

American Airlines updated April 1st, 2020 9:55am

For travel between March 1st, 2020, and May 31st, change fees are waived

o Travel must be complete by December 31st, 2020 or one year from the date the ticket was issued, whichever is earlier

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

Amtrak updated March 16th, 2020 9:57am

For tickets purchased before April 30th, 2020, change fees are waived

o Travel must be complete within 12 months of the original ticket purchase date

o If the fare for the new train is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the fare difference

Delta Airlines updated March 16th, 9:59am

For travel between today and May 31st, 2020, change fees are waived

o The new ticket must be reissued no later than December 31st, 2020 or one year from the original ticket purchase date, whichever is later

o Your new trip must be completed no later than December 31st, 2020 or one year from the original ticket purchase date, whichever is later

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

For tickets purchased between March 1st -April 15th, change fees are waived

o The new ticket must be reissued no later than one year from the original ticket purchase date

o Your new trip must be completed no later than one year from the original ticket purchase date

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

Frontier Airlines – updated March 16th, 2020  10:01am

For tickets purchased between March 10th – April 15th, change fees are waived

o The new ticket must be reissued within 90 days of your flight cancellation

o Your new trip must be completed no later than November 9th, 2020

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o If the fare for your new flight is lower than the original ticket cost, you forfeit the savings

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

Jetblue – updated March 16th, 2020 10:02am

For tickets purchased between March 27th – April 30th, 2020 and scheduled to travel between March 27th -October 24th, 2020, change fees are waived

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived on time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

For travel between March 10th-May 31st, 2020, change fees are waived

o Your new trip must be 18 months from the original ticket purchase date.

o If the fare for the new flight is higher than your original ticket cost, you must pay the difference

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

United Airlines updated April 1st, 2020  10:04am

For travel between today and May 31th, 2020, change fees are waived

o Your new ticket must be reissued before December 31st, 2020 or 12 months from the original purchase date, whichever is earlier

o Your new trip must be begin within 12 months of the original purchase date

o The fee is waived one time only, future changes will incur the standard penalty

For tickets purchased before March 3nd, 2020, change fees are waived

Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines has no waiver in place. Their standard change and cancel  rules apply.

o if you cancel your flight, you will have the full value of the ticket to apply toward a future trip.

o The new travel must be completed within one year of the original ticket issue date.
